My co worker and I went there for lunch, we had been driving since 8:30 am seeing clients and by 1pm we were very hungry. As soon as we sat down we were offered nachos with salsa or guacamole. We chose salsa, I asked if it was made fresh, the waitress responded yes. We both ordered fish tacos for $5 and I ordered chicken tacos to take home for my daughter $6. I asked what kind of fish is used, the waitress said haddock, so we ordered. The waitress said ok let me put in your order. The waitress came back with our order in 3 minutes, as I see her coming towards us I commented, "wow that was fast." The waitress puts two saucer plates in front of us. We were served one taco on street size tortillas. We both looked at each other confused. Both tacos I asked for were on one plate. We asked were are the other tacos, the menu says tacos plural. We were served a piece of fish that was the size of the frozen Gordon fisherman fish sticks, they pile on the pickled cabbage and sauce and called it a fish taco. The chicken was canned, the tacos had zero flavor. The worste food I ever had, we ate it because we were hungry, we ended up going somewhere else to get a real meal. The waitress asked how was it, I told her. The owner came out upset saying his family cooks the food at there home fresh daily, he doesn't understand why I was not happy with the food. I explained to him the food didn't have flavor and both fish and chicken tasted as if they were store bought products. He simply said my family cooks the food there is nothing wrong with it. I said ok and he walked away. Mexican food just like any latin food is full of flavors that are particular to the culture. I am a cook, I know what is fresh and what comes out of a can. The only thing fresh on that table was the nachos that were fried corn tortillas and the salsa. $3.50 by the way, we weren't told they weren't part of the table as we wait for our food. Never again will I eat there, nor do I recommend it. I can only think the drinks are strong so people dont realize what they are eating doesn't have flavor.
