A Friend and I visited the Char Broil on Thursday and Friday Nites. Both nights we ate in the tent.
I have to say that the entertainment was exceptional on Friday night. Would love to see them back again before the tent comes down. It is about time music like that was featured more often. However, the food and service left a little bit to be desired. I ordered the Assago chicken sandwich on Thursday it was excellent a choice I order most all the time. When we arrived, it was around 7;30 so things were beginning to wind down for the night.
I realize that on Friday, the kitchen might have been back logged as to the amount of people who were dining at the restaurant. Many of them stayed for the Gates Swing Band. We waited a while for a table. But my order of food left something to be desired. I ordered an Oscar Plate, the Pulled Pork, mac salad, beans and sweet potato fries. By the time my order arrived the hot items were barely warm. By the time I flagged our waitress down she took it back and microwaved my plate. Ever have heated Mac Salad? It was terrible. I ate what I could of my meal and left the rest of it. I know that all the gals were hoping last night and really earned their tips.

I enjoyed a fun evening with friends while listening to live music and watching the band perform, which added to the overall experience. The food was excellent as usual, especially the coconut shrimp and homemade onion rings, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout the night. The atmosphere, both inside and under the outdoor tent, was welcoming and clean, making it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a meal.

The music venue we visited tonight was a blast, with a lively band and a fun atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the coconut shrimp and homemade onion rings - a real treat. The service was impeccable, with friendly owners and attentive staff making the experience enjoyable.

Went to have dinner and watch the Coupe de Villes at the Charbroil last night (7/21/23). We met our friends at 6:00 and were told it would be about an hour to be seated. Well, none of us had anything else to do, so we sat at the bar to chit-chat. The bartenders were doing a wonderful job of keeping up with the orders that were coming in from the waitresses and from people walking up to the bar.
We waited for our waitress for 1/2 hour; ordered 2 drinks and waited another 1/2 hour. This went on and on. I have to tell you, after waiting for almost an hour for her to come back around to finish taking our orders, we decided it was time to get out of there.
They needed a ton more staff to be working. This isn't the first time that a band has played there. If it stays as totally unorganized as it was last night, that going to cause a lot of problems for people who like to go there weekly for dinner. At least for me. I will not be going there again any time soon and it's sad, because I have always liked going there.
Best of luck to the owners to try to salvage the mess that happened last night so that they can get their customers to come back in.

we have been ordering barbecues for several years. what we got tonight was not a barbecue. the sauce
tasted like spagetti sauce . there were no peppers in it and it was not spicy. also the fries were soggy and half cooked. this is not what we wanted
