A couple of weeks ago, I visited a vendor at the Farmers Market and tried their chicken and veggie tamales. While the chicken tamale was dry and lacked flavor, the veggie tamale was exceptional, and I appreciated the fresh ingredients and organic options. The service was friendly, and I plan to return to sample more of their offerings, including blue corn tortillas and various tamales.

I recently visited a local tamale vendor at the Pearl and tried their chicken and veggie tamales. While the chicken tamale was a bit dry, the veggie option was absolutely delicious with flavorful sauces. I was so impressed that I bought a large order to take to a wedding in Houston, and I can confidently say these are the best tamales I've had in my 40 years of living between Houston and San Antonio.
