I really enjoy indulging in the delicious offerings of a familiar eatery, which, despite its origins with a large corporation, still retains that hometown charm. The Swinging Friar Shack, inspired by the San Diego Padres and located on Friars Rd, boasts a vibrant booth and a unique kids-only service line that adds to its appeal. The name "Friar" pays homage to the religious brothers who relied on charitable donations, a fitting nod considering the somewhat steep prices typical of ballpark cuisine.
