This is La Mesa’s best and not too expensive Italian and more restaurants! Great variety of selections! Always great quality with decent prices.

They gave me the wrong sandwich in my pick up order. I called them immediately, and they didn’t care. Never going back to gus’s.

Ive always thought well of this place but today was charged over $17.00 for a coffee, a 2 egg veggie omelette and home fries to go. Waited about 15 minutes for my order. My fault I guess that I didnt check the price before or ask why so much. I guess Covid times have me wanting limited interaction (even with the menu). Everyone just seems a bit stressed and businesses are hurting. I gave a 3$ tip so my little fun breakfast to-go came to a whopping $20.83. Partly my own fault, but I felt a bit frustrated and ripped off nonetheless. I will go back, but be more careful next time.

Just wanted to add that I didnt want the bread portion and wasnt asked if Id like a substitute. And now realize I could have ordered in the 55 plus menu items! Ugh!
It tasted really good. Customer service and price 2 stars. Quality of food 4 stars.

Gus has a great Philly and Gyro, but the prices shown here are WAAAAYY old. The Grilled Chicken Salad is shown at $8.45, but the one I got last night was $12.95.....
