Thought I’d take my wife and daughter to the local tiki bar for a drink and some live music. Good size crowd but only one bartender. Seven people waiting at the bar for drinks, two walk out after a good wait. After fifteen minutes standing right in front of the bartender discovered he was only making drink order’s brought by the one waitress, (who we all saw forget what table some were for) so I asked if that’s how he was doing it. He looked at me sideways and said it would probably be quicker. No apologies for making us stand there when he could have easily said something sooner. So another three walk out. But not so fast that we didn’t hear the snyde remark about “it’s quicker to order a beer at the bar or you can just walk out pissed off”. That maybe true, but how the hell would we have known that if there’s no customer service?
