Returning to Maya after some time felt like coming home, with warm greetings and a lively atmosphere enhanced by colorful artwork and inviting patio seating. The food, from crispy flautas to flavorful enchiladas and the unforgettable Guero Burrito, was consistently fresh and satisfying, complemented perfectly by attentive, friendly service that made the experience truly memorable.

This style of Mexican food is unique. The enchalada sauce is light and tasty; it doesn't overwhelm the flavor of the enchalada but instead compliments it. The beans are good and aren't runny nor wall paper paste. The traditional style salsa for chips has enough of a "kick" to make it good but not too hot as to make you get "emotional" over your appetizer by having watery eyes. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The owner, Lalo, is a charming man and very friendly. If you are lucky, you may even meet his father, whose style of cooking is used in the restaurant. A wonderful family owned business that I have enjoyed for decades. I highly recommend this restaurant.
