Visited Sabra Grill after a Krav Maga session with my students. The food impressed us with its delicious flavors. The cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home, and we look forward to returning with more students and family members. The dishes were a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and taste made it worth it.

I have lived in Israel and in Brooklyn, New York. I know Israeli food quite well and I love it. The strip of excellent restaurants on Kings Highway in Brooklyn comes to mind. When you enter any of those establishments you are greeted by fresh pita, chumus, pickles and zechug. This brings me to My "Sabra" dining experience. My host was running a bit late so I asked the surly Israeli owner for water and pita. I was told that I could not have pita until I ordered my meal. WTF? He then spouted on about "not wanting to waste food." WTF? I told him we would be ordering shortly but he insisted that I order first. Bottom line on Sabra? Good food, serious -ssh-l- owner, end of story.
