Well I'm 62 this month, so that means I've been going to the Tadich Grill for 57 years. It is and always will be my favorite. Oddly though, I don't really like fish (outside of shellfish). The food is naturally first class but it is the collected memories of all the great meals I have eaten there, and the people I have met or accompanied there that stand out in my mind (along with the best steak in mushroom sauce I can remember having). Do order the Tadich Special Dinner Salad (they haven't called the salad with shellfish that in years though), a bottle or two of Calistoga and a lot of sourdough bread. It's kept me coming back for over half a century, so I feel sure you will find it rewarding.
