As a cash paying customer the proprietor was extremely rude to my husband and myself. We had been on our 2 hour walk and decided to eat out. We were not dressed in fancy attire but in our keds, jeans, polo shirts. While the waiter was telling us how much a bottle of wine cost , we said oh that's to much we'll stick to water. The waiter then proposed us getting a glass of chianti wine. I jokingly said well give me a glass filled to the brim. At this point the proprietor was at our table and made a remark, "you must not get out much for dinner because thats not what you get", I remarked that I was joking and having fun with the waiter ".who by the way was very pleasant. She had a scowl on her face and walked back to the rear of the restaurant. Midway through dinner that was served very slowly, the proprietor Luisa Hanson walked around to the tables of customers and made small talk about her restaurant. She told girls seated to our right that she had a nice little lounge for wine and such if they just wanted at another time to talk about men and how rotten they can be. She hesitated at our table and said to my husband you look Russian at which I said he's pure breed Italian, he piped in "I'm Genovese and Tuscano", she remarked Genovese are cheap people ,penny pinchers. She walked away from are table on that note. We were finished with our dinner nothing to brag about, costly to. We paid the bill which shocked us because it indicated a 20% tip was to be added. I have not seen it at other restaurants that we patronize. We left the restaurant and proceeded down the brick path towards the back where the lounge and bar were located to see what it looked like. 3 Males were outside who engaged us in brief conversation, the proprietor came from the rear of the restaurant and 1 of the males said oh I just offered to buy them a drink and they refused. First of all that was a lie, but when the proprietor said "that figures", I almost felt like going up to her and saying what problem do you have with us that you have been so rude to us. The best way to attack without confrontation is not to patronize her place and not tell others about it either. I have never felt so insulted, we brought business to her place of establishment and what did we get but rude remarks. Further more for a women of her age she tries to dress in what she seems to think is chi chi with the plastic band across her forehead. Growup ,dress elegant and act your age. She also must think quit highly of herself she has pictures of herself as a young women plastered all over the restaurant walls , that is slightly tacky and boastful . She didn't even thank us for coming to her restaurant.
