My fiance and I have frequented this charming restaurant for many Valentine's Day celebrations, reminiscent of my grandparents' tradition decades ago. It was disheartening to discover that the beloved Villa D'Este will be closing its doors, but we were fortunate to secure a reservation before bidding farewell. The warm and friendly service, combined with the delicious veal and overall nostalgic ambiance, made our dining experience truly memorable. Despite the impending closure, I am grateful for the cherished memories created in this hidden culinary gem of old San Francisco.
