The hotel offers a clean, literary-themed environment with thoughtful decor inspired by the Beat Generation, located conveniently near Union Square with easy access to shops, restaurants, and entertainment. The staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, providing attentive service such as daily housekeeping, valet parking, and accommodating special requests like typewriters or white noise machines. While rooms are on the smaller side and the area can be lively at night, amenities like a cozy bar, attached cafí©, and well-appointed rooms create a comfortable and unique experience in downtown San Francisco.

I had a great time during my weekend stay at this clean and chic hotel with a cool Beat Generation-inspired design. The front desk staff were super friendly and the valet service was convenient. The hotel's location in Union Square is perfect for exploring the city and enjoying the nearby shops and restaurants.
