I've been to this restaurant 2 times. My experience.....
1. Atmosphere - love it. Very quaint.
2. Food - so far so great. My wife and I got the half order, normally for 4 people, of..(cant remember the name) but it had various kinds of meats, rice, beans, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, Cascadia, and more. We ate half of it and walked out stuffed. I highly recommend it. There was only 1 dish for 4 people so look for that one.
3. Service - mixed.
a. First time I got a guy that couldn't speak or understand English. He seemed a little lost of what to do as a waiter. He forgot my side order and couldn't understand what I was saying. Ultimately I didn't get it or pay for it. But, he was very nice and wanting to be of service.
b. Second time Carlos was our server. Found out later he and his wife are the owners. He was perfect. Understood our needs and took care of us. It made up for the first visit enough to give it a 4 star.
4. Price - Most dinner items are $8-12.00. The dinner for 4 was $7.75 ea. We paided $16 for the half order and took half of it home. Price was very good for what we received.
5. Value - 4 star. They have their weak areas, but expecting to eat at a Mexican restaurant in Anderson is like stepping into Mexico. When it's understood and expected that Mexican life is a little slower to enjoy the experience then you can accept what El Jimador has to offer. You can have a bad experience in any location once in a while. I like this little place and learned about the owners and their family. They were very hospitable. I will go back.....even though there are several Mexican restaurants along the way from my house.
