The server at the diner was impressively efficient, managing the bustling atmosphere with grace. The cozy ambiance exuded a comforting nostalgia, enhancing the dining experience. The waffle I ordered was perfectly crispy on the outside and deliciously satisfying, served piping hot despite the bustling morning rush.

Food is really good and staff is on point too.
I did have a problem with overcharging though. Wife ordered a Reuben Sandwich and they charger 35 cents extra for rye bread. I know it's only 35 cents but I always thought that rye bread always came with a Reuben.
And I ordered an open faced beef platter that came with a potatoe and a vegetable. I asked the server if I could have onion rings instead of vegetable(green beans) and she said no but I could sub it for potato and I agreed and ordered onion rings and green beans. When I got the bill they charged $2.50 for the up charge of onion rings.
I really don't mind the extra charges but please be a little more open with me and let me know in advance.

I come to the New York diner a couple days a week for breakfast. The food is awesome. It reminds me of a lil country diner. Wait staff are very friendly and never misses a beat when taking care of customers.The decor may seem a lil out dated, but that is what makes it feel warm and welcoming. If you haven't been there yet, you don't know what you are missing.

I've been to this Diner a couple of times and had excellent service and delicious food! I moved from New York state in Jan and was happy to find this gem of a Diner. These places are hard to come by in SC. I love the atmosphere & decor also! My only complaint is that they aren't open for dinner. But I recommend a breakfast or lunch here..Very pleasant & clean too..
