I want to compliment Terri and the staff and management for your expertise in the planning and directing of my sons wedding and making it a very beautiful and memorable day. The gorgeous garden room and the glamorous reception hall was a combination to be compared with that of excellence. The food was pleasing to the taste. Our weddings guests seemed to have enjoyed themselves. Thank you for an eloquent wedding memories.

Tara

If I were to rate Osborne's on food and wait staff alone, it would be nothing but a glowing review. However, after what I witnessed as a guest at a recent wedding reception, that glowing review is no possible due to the owner, of all people. I saw, no actually heard, her be the rudest, most callous, disrespectful person I have come across in a long time. How she has survived in the bridal business with her personality is a mystery to me. You should only book this place if you a.) request she not be present during the event, or b.) are a glutten for punishment.

I am a mobile DJ in the Pee Dee area of South Carolina and have worked at this establishment on several occasions. The food here is absolutely second to none!! I have worked all over North and South Carolina and had food prepared at some very high end resorts. While the resort food is very good, in my opinion, nothing tops the quality of the food Osbornes prepares for their guests!!! Not to mention that the facility is very well kept and clean!! I look forward to working there again!!!

I went to a wedding at this facility last Saturday April 16th. Let me tell you the good things about this place:

1. The place is clean and very well maintained
2. The reception area was very beautiful
3. The food was good. Not great. Although, other guests were very happy with the food.

Now, let me tell you the low points of the evening:

1. If you enjoy someone to boss you around the whole night and tell you what you can and cannot do, then this is not a low point for you! The owner/wedding coordinator was very rude. She rushed the whole event from the ceremony until the very end. The ceremony started promptly at 5pm. There was no taking into account that people may get lost and may arrive late. Some of the guests arrived 5 minutes later and she was not going to allow people to go into the room where the ceremony was taking place. So, that was the beginning of the nightmare.
2. Once the ceremony was finished, the owner basically demanded that people to go upstairs where the reception was going to take place. There was no direction as to what the guests were to do once upstairs. I understand that the owner was under a lot of stressed but the guests should not have been made aware of this.

3. Once the bride and groom were introduced and started their "first dance" the owner stopped them from dancing and ran up to the DJ and put her finger up and said "No" really loud so all the guests could hear her. She went up to the bride and groom and told them that they were not going to dance until all the events were complete (i.e. eating dinner, cutting the cake, toast, etc.). In my opinion, she should have accomodated the fact that she may have been off her "order of events." She made the bride feel so bad about wanting to dance with her new husband.

4. When the toast started. The father spoke, followed by bestman. When it was time for the maid of honor to speak, the owner said to her "ok, hurry up, say kiss kiss and you love them." Who in the world rushes someone like that? The maid of honor decided not to say anything and started crying.

5. When the dancing started, the lights were on so bright that it really turned off the ambience. So, some of the guests asked if the lights could be turned down. She yelled "no, that is was a liability issue." I have been to many weddings and never have they left the lights all the way up. So, some of the guests went and turned them down and she yelled in their faces and made a big deal about it.

6. The place was very COLD. The owner didn't want to fix that. Probably because she was hot running around the place.

7. Promptly at 11 pm, she told everyone that the party was over and we all had to go downstairs to say goodbye to the bride.

8. Upstairs, the bride and groom was saying goodbye to their immediate family. It was at this time that the maid of honor came downstairs crying because the owner told her that she could say goodbye downstairs. May I mention, that the maid of honor is HER SISTER!

9. This lady was a NAZI! The only reason she still has a prosperous business is because in Florence this is one of the only places you can have a wedding. There are other places, but there is somewhat of a monopoly in Florence.

10. My suggestion is to shop around! Not worth it for the price! Very expensive place. Don't even have alcohol here because she charges way too much to even bring it in yourself!

11. It really could have been a nice event if the owner was more assertive and actually NICE. She is in the wrong field of practice. She really needs to work behind a computer because she had absolutely no interpersonal skills. Let alone customer service.
12. The experience was so awful that all the great things about it was pretty much null and void.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! IF YOU DO, HIRE A WEDDING COORDINATOR AND DON'T USE HER TO DO THE WORK!
