This place was the worst! Management needed major help. Owners were alcoholics. BYOB but they would drink from your bottle! While working! Dean would get very drunk and obnoxious! Not to mention all the boys working and maybe 1 or 2 girls? Had anyone else notice this? Or just sitback and ignore it? Two Gay men who were running and owned the place, with a bunch of young boys working for them... hmmmm

Hello I would like to include that The Village Cup is no longer at 917 West but at a very new location 108 South Public Square, Laurens, SC 29360
The Village Cup can also be found on Facebook:

This is a wonderful coffeehouse and resturant. Dean and Fred are the most gracious hosts, serving up great cuisine and coffeedrinks. IN an area of South Carolina where there is a plethora of UN-inspired local fare and overabundant fast-food chains, The Village Cup shines!.
They also have live music from time-to-time, one of the BEST Wi-Fi systems around, and a fireplace *WITH Comfy Chairs and Couch)that really feels great in the winter. My only complaint is that they're only open 5 days a week ((closed Sunday/Monday). Hours from Tues thru Saturday are 7am to 8pm and sometimes later.
They sometimes DO use Sundays and Mondays for private parties and the like.
Crowd is diverse in age and economics. All are welcome. There's even a HUGE checker board and a toy chest to keep the kiddies occupied. AND you know, even the toddlers seem to settle down there. Hyper-Activity problems cease by themselves.
Alot of detail in this cozy place called the Village Cup. Check it out on your way to and from Greenville of I-385.
