The catfish dinner at Fritz's is excellent, reminiscent of the "old days", with good service and a comfortable steakhouse atmosphere. The steak dishes are wonderful, the staff is pleasant and accommodating, and the overall experience at Fritz's is consistently great.

My husband and I have enjoyed this restaurant for many years. We really like the Sinatra-esque ambiance at the bar. Our favorite dinners are the prime rib and the pan-fried chicken. It's wonderful that they offer spinach as a vegetable with your dinner. Not many restaurants offer spinach. Our servers and bartenders have always been cordial and competent. The manager is a very pleasant young woman who always says hello and takes time to chat with us when possible.
If you're looking for a hipster locale, this is probably not your place. But if you are looking for good food with supper club charm, please try Fritz's and sit at the bar. We'll probably see you there.

I will never go back. I will never recommend and I will definitely tell people not to go to Fritz's. The salad was bagged lettuce from Aldi or Walmart the food was bland, I ordered the pork chops my boyfriend ordered the pan-fried chicken(said voted number one in town) the atmosphere was retirement home, and there was a BEER BOTTLE CAP, where?, ON TOP OF SPRINGFIELD'S NUMBER ONE PAN-FRIED CHICKEN!! As soon as the waitress set the plate down he noticed it and the waitress immediately took it back to be re-made. 20min later and I'm done eating another 10min wait and we get his plate, we asked to speak to the manager. The manager came and when we expressed our frustration with trash in his food, she said it was just a beer bottle cap, I repeated to her a beer bottle cap is trash. She said, "fine, I will take his plate back and not charge you for his food." I asked her why we were being charged at all when we had trash served to us, she smiled and laughed a little and asked me if I liked mine. I ate less than half of my pork chops and baked potato, I explained to her that it wasn't my food we had an issue with it was the fact that the food had trash in it and we waited so long for his chicken to be remade that I was done eating. She got super upset and walked off...we left....I have never been served trash and then tried to be charged for it, the manager was very rude and I would suggest staying far far away from Fritz's.
