Superb dining and great staff. An experience we won’t forget and will often come back to have. The filet.... omg! By far one of the best I’ve ever had (sorry hubby but it’s true!)
We love the ambience and find it very easy to talk and have an intimate conversation.
This is our go-to restaurant in Springfield and it will be so for a long time. Great spot to bring out of town guests.

salty! everything too salty, full of cheese. We ordered lamb and a small bowl of few shredded pieces of lamb scattered over a lot of pasta and with cheese on top was served.. The fish was bland. The soup tasted such as that from a canned soup. Even the bread was salty. The salt was so much we could not enjoy our food. It wasn't worth taking it home.
this place used to be Cafe Brio. I don't see much innovation in the ambiance.
Nothing, but absolutely nothing thrives in Illinois. Great expections? yes!
BUT no deliverance.
The only three restaurants I can vouch for, are Maldaner's; The Feed store for lunches; and, Augie's Front Burner. All in downtown Springfield.
VELES: Very expensive for the amount of food served. All the dishes were similar to tapas.Small amounts of food.
save your money and visit the other restaurants in downtown I mentioned. On Veteran's parkway I recommend TGIF. It never disappoints.
