"Guy Fieri reconnects with Syracuse’s Funk ‘n Waffles for takeout TV show"

My husband and I watched and I made the comment that I would love to try one of those! My husband today surprised me by ordering takeout and brought it home (The Chicken Parm Waffle) . However... I'm not sure how Guy and his son(s) on his show actually said the Chicken Parm waffle was so good if what they ate was the same as what I just ate, tried to eat. It was terrible! The spaghetti around the outside (about 3" all the way around) was hard and dried out. They put a plastic knife and fork in the to go container. I literally couldn't cut the spaghetti with my sharp knife from my kitchen. Some of it just broke apart in pieces. The "sauce" on it was awful. It taste exactly like pure tomato paste with a ton of oregano in it. It was as thick as tomato paste out of the can and it was SO spicy hot I couldn't eat it. I checked the online menu and no where on it does it say the spaghetti "sauce" or whatever it was supposed to be was spicy! I tried to use a teaspoon to get the "sauce" out of the grooves but it was just everywhere globbed on. I took a paper towel and wiped it off the 2 tiny pieces of the chicken (tenders) that they had on top of the spaghetti. They actually were cooked well, not dried out but pleasantly moist and the taste was good other than the taste of the spicy tomato paste that was still there. I'm not sure if this is their normal meal and service down there but I'm not willing to go back to find out. We do try to support our local restaurants while the Covid-19 is here but not the ones with this kind of food. Such a disappointment.
