My partner and I came here on Valentines Day night expecting the same great vibes we usually get when we come for brunch. When we arrived, we were presented with a “modified menu” for their “$77 flat rate Valentines Day Special” with 3 options for appetizers, 3 options for entree and 2 options for dessert and a complimentary glass of champagne for 2 ppl. We were skeptical at first because $77 is pretty steep if it’s not going to be worth it. After the waiter assured us the special was filling we decided to stay. We both saw something that we wanted to try, so we ordered. We waited over 30 minutes just to get something to drink( the complimentary champagne and water) the food was okay, but when the dessert came out, we noticed it was a Krispy Cream doughnut and a scoop of ice cream and caramel drizzled on top….. we know a krispy cream doughnut when we see one. This somewhat upset me because we are paying a whopping $77 for this and the dessert is something a 7 year old can make. I didn’t think much of it until the bill came out..after waiting for it forever.. When the waiter told us the total,it was definitely more than we were told. The total was $99. When I asked where the other $22 came from, we were told taxes and fees…. I asked what fees? And can I see a breakdown?? Because $22 is a whole entree at Longhorn Steakhouse. He could not tell me why we were being charged that much extra. I refused to pay it especially since we did not order ANYTHING extra (not even drinks/sodas). I asked for the manager who never came. At this point I’m about to leave without paying a dime because service was already terrible. When the waiter saw me grabbing my purse, he then scurries over to tell me they are removing the extra charge.. This was a little better, but honestly I feel that it was not worth $77 and I feel that they were trying to get over on people with that price and the miscellaneous $22 charge that can’t be explained. Long story short, we will not be returning. This is not the way to keep loyal customers and keep a good business reputation. I don’t know what was going on tonight, but this definitely was not the vibe we were hoping for.
