Bakery staff miserable. If you cant be somewhat pleasant to your customers you should not be working with the public.

First-timer but last- timer
Heard all the rave reviews on tv.called about Thanksgiving take away sides,etc.the lady who answered unhelpful.Acted annoyed.as if I should be grateful she was even talking to me.I didn't bother to go there.First impression are lasting impressions. Guessing they dont care.

No. The staff is not friendly. I called for a flavors and pie delivey. Told me to call Doordash. And they would be 5" pies. Was not able to tell.me about any flavors or about a regular old 7 " cake.
She told me the same for cake. I have had lunch there. So I can say I have done that
They do a good business. As for me, this was third strike.

The Quesitos (Honey pastry filled with cheese) is the best.
The shrimp and hot bar items are delicious.
Can't beat the Cuban bread.
Bakery is like a dream, hard to decide what to get.

we got beef stew and yellow rice tues.the green beans were still raw,the stew beeef was in large chunks and tough.needed to cook longer to get tender.the only tasteful part was the yellow rice amd a slimpy piece of cucan bread.need to cook beter.iris fiwelds

We have been to morenos many times, most of the times our experience is overall very good. Their Cubans are usually very good and we definitely have our favorite desserts that we enjoy, we all like something different. I love the apple pie. We have had one customer service issue that was not handled well, but in the end the manager finally took care of it. We live close and definitely like to pop in to get subs and our favorite dessert. definitely check your receipt and your food/desserts to make sure you got what you ordered, and if there is a problem take care of it before you leave the store.

Never been to Moreno's, but was looking forward to take a long drive there after seeing their commercials on TV. But after reading these reviews, forget about it!

I took a picture of a wedding dress cookie , paid extra for special shower cake, it looked like an orange ghost, if dark orange trim. The picture they had picture of was of off white wedding dress. The ghost cake cost 90 dollars and was the one thing I had to apologize for at the shower. I should have refused it , but i did not have time to get another one. I refuse to go back there for any thing.

Well normally I would give Moreno's a 5 star on their food ..the bakery part is outstanding ! Yesterday I bought two dinners one of the dinners was the shrimp in the red sauce …the woman called it "Shrimp Enchilada" the name tag placed in front of it was scratched off just showed shrimp, anyways …I live about 35 minutes from the bakery when I got home and settled down I started to eat the meal , immediately noticed the shrimp were over cooked they were mushy and had NO shrimp consistency . I called today to speak to a manager and complain about this being I am a great customer and would always get food and desserts from Moreno's….Well she handled it terribly by saying because NO ONE else complained she CANNOT do anything about it , mind you NOT EVEN I'M SORRY was said to me for the bad experience and terrible shrimp..I will not return to this place they lost me as a customer …Very sad !!!!!!

Had the WORST experience and best experience of customer service in a short time frame. Let me first start by saying I always go to el coqui bakery for custom cakes but this time I was short on time and tried Moreno's Bakery.....I will NEVER EVER go back there. There is a lady named Susan who is the supposed owner and baker; she was extremely unprofessional and rude. Called my husband yesterday with a nasty attitude and only continued the attitude and un professionalism through out today (the day of my son's party). She tried to charge about $80-$100 for a cake that looked like a kid made and then tried to tell us to never return b/c we didnt like it and told her about her attitude. Well after being so disappointed and with 140 mins left until the party we went to publix (which I would never typically do for a custom cake). Crying like a little baby n all b/c I was so mad and disappointed, a bakery lady named Jazmine calmed me down and with the help of her manager managed to make me a custom cake for much cheaper and with all the things my son wanted just in time for the party. She was able to turn my day around, get what I needed and wanted, and in such short time! I am forever grateful to them. And I reiterate, DO NOT GO TO MORENO'S BAKERY, If you are in the tampa/brandon area! There is much more to this story about how unprofessional Moreno's Bakery was and how great publix employees were, but to put it all in writing would take me forever.

Just came from Moreno Bakery in Brandon.Fl. We were impressed with many choices of pastry. We ordered two cubans drinks an a devil crab. I was told that mayo was the only thing on the sandwich but I could have mustard also if I liked. when I recieved the food the sandwich that had mustard was covered with so much mustard it was on both sides of the cuban bread and all over the wrapping.I tryed a bite and mustard went everywhere on me and the table we were at.I took the sandwich back to the counter to show them. The man looked suprised with the amount of mustard and offered if I waited to make me another one. I think this was my first and last time for a visit to Moreno Bakery. Did I mention that we had to drive back to Plant City so I could change my shorts and shirt to go back to the Mall.Not happy at all. W.White.
