Terrible food nasty place !

The catfish was good but did have a little to much pepper on it for me. I thought the price was not bad for all the food you get. I didn't know that you automatically get a bowl of white beans and okra with each order. This was a nice surprise and both were really good. If you cut back on the black pepper on your fish I will certainly be back.

I have been customer, for many years, when it was just one dinning room. ( now 3 rooms total ) They had only bought the best catfish, . There fish has changed, and now there is pepper on it. Thats why there is pepper shakers on the table, if a person wants to put it on there meal.
mr. and mrs. ellis always had the best food and service. "what happened ? " people traveled for miles and miles to enjoy ther catfish meal .
I've tried there twice thisyear. but no more. I tell relitives not to eat there now. it's not the same. and the price has gone up so much now. and some things you don't need to change. and to back to the way your food was worth the wait on a sunday afternoon after church.
I heard the ellis's don't own it any more. but who ever does plese go back to the way it was and your old customers near cross plains tn will come back
thank you

We've eaten at this restaurant several times at different times of the day and different days of the week. We have found that their food is consistently well prepared and seasoned. We found the staff to be respectful and friendly. Of course, being a catfish house, we've ordered the catfish the times we patronized this establishment. The sides that automatically come with the orders are expertly cooked and served. And as far as the pricing, I believe it to be in line with the market and to stay in business. I do not find their pricing to be out of line.

THE FOOD IS GOOD BUT THEIR PRICING DURING DIFFICULT ECONOMIC TIMES IS GOING TO RUN THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. FOR INSTANCE THEIR CHICKEN TENDERS ARE 10.99 FOR 6 TENDERS AND THE PRICE FOR THE SAME THING AT CHEDDARS IS $7.95 AND THEY ARE EXCELLENT. WAKE UP CATFISH HOUSE YOU ARE GOING TO PRICE YOURSELF OUT OF BUSINESS.

In my opinion the Catfish house is pricing themselves into extinction. While other restaurants are offering specials during economic hard times to draw people, the catfish house keeps increasing their prices. This is going to catch up with them..
