Beware the Meat Scam!
Steak, chicken, or ground beef. Those are the meat choices at 99.9% of Mexican restaurants. I didn't want chicken or ground beef, so ordered steak for my lunchtime chimichanga. But El Sazon has another category called "beef chunks" on their menu. If you confuse this with steak, they will gladly remind you. At the register. With a $3 surcharge. No matter there is no mention of that on their menu. And my waitress must have got a sudden attack of lockjaw and failed to mention it either.
Seemed fishy to me, and felt rehearsed. I went back two weeks later and ordred the same thing, but this time pointed to the "beef chunks". Lo and Behold, it was STEAK! Same as before, but $3 less. Not very ethical, don't you think? Food wasn't very good either. Watery sauce and sparse "Beef chunks". Dine at own risk
