Catered food to my work today, for our Thanksgiving lunch, 11/15/21, it was Amazing. Can't wait to bring my family to eat there. Excellent job

This place is really hit or miss, especially with the staff. Regarding the food, some of it is well-cooked, fresh and delicious while other items are obviously straight out of the can. As recently as maybe five years ago, we ate there at least once or twice a month, but there are now many more choices in town including food trucks that offer fresh items. Given that, and the way COVID-19 changed our eating habits to more takeout than dine-in, we are visiting Mallard's less and less often. We feel it's time for the ownership to revamp the menu, make some staffing changes and just generally try a bit harder. They've been phoning it in for years, but they're no longer the only game in town. We really do want them to continue to stay open.

A friend and I had lunch at Mallard's this week. We had the plate lunch with grilled hmbr steak and Chose our 3 vegetables. The mashed potatoes were homemade and delicious! The vegetables were good, and I enjoyed the baked apples as my dessert! There was a lot of food for a lunch, and our waitress was attentive and friendly. We will be going back soon with our masks still on!

Mallard's is one of my favorite restaurants. It has a nice ambiance, bright, spacious and clean. The food is excellent. The menu is pretty diverse, so there is something for everyone. It's an all around great restaurant.

Went there hoping that they would have a different menu from the rest of Ryan's families restaurants in Samburg . Same ol' song here ,Catfish and Veggies that came from a restaurant supply company such as GFS or Sysco . Good if that's your thing on Sundays after church. I seriously doubt the person who commented first in 2008 drove from Nashville to Huntingdon tn just to eat here . Probably owners boosting ratings.

Went from 5 stars to 1 star in ONE day!
Went to lunch yesterday -- had great service from Ashley and food was great!
Went back today -- had slow service (and wasn't busy at all), no offer for refills of drinks or bread. When the food finally came, vegetables were dried out and cold, onion rings cold and soggy, fish was hot but not seasoned at all. Apparently the veggies and onion rings sat while waiting for the fish to get done. We made a complaint but they didn't offer any kind of discount or just a free dessert "¦. really disappointing.

HORRIBLE the chicken tenders have no taste to it. the rolls tasted like it was bagged rolls from Walmart. the only good thing there was the mints they had at the front counter!

Ate at Mallards and the steak was excellent along with the rolls and mouth watering strawberry butter. Service was really good also and am going back soon. I recommend this nice restaurant.

The food is OKAY, if you like to eat things that come from a can. They would also benefit from having someone to answer the phone who is not rude and actually could at least PRETEND that they appreciate your business. Adding a menu online would be great so you could see what they offer because the phone situation is obviously a waste of time.

A service rep picked up Mallard's food from the Huntingdon restaurant and it was delicious! The small potatoes were great!

I ate here 3 times, and loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the FOOD was FaNtAsTiC. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd go back for sure. I have great memories of the place.

Great herb grilled talapia, Englis peas, rolls, salad, fried chicken tenders. Clean bathrooms too. Very reasonable prices!

I love this small town restaurant. I have just discovered this place and love the atmosphere provided there. Their plate lunch offers a great variety at a great price, not to mention that the food is great as well as the servers.

Earlier reviews must be under different management or before economic conditions caused a lowering of service and quality. Entries are decent and fairly priced for this snotty attitude restraunt with poorly trained teenage staff.

this is a nice hometown resaurant. if you love catfish, then this is the place to come. their rolls are served with mouth watering stawberry butter.

Mallard's is the quintessential small town restuaurant with savory biscuits, mouth-watering catfish and scrumptious fried chicken. I started making the drive from Nashville to Huntingdon, TN in 2003 just to dine here and it is well worth the gas money. Southern cooking at its best.
