02/21/2022 - YOU KNOW WHO I AM
Made a mistake and told them I was bringing a Wagyu steer. I didn't tell them the age or what he weighed. He was a 3/4 Wagyu and 1/4 Brangus that was 27 months old, and I weighed him at 1302 pounds on the hoof on my scales.
I didn't want to pay to have it graded but thought what the heck it would be nice to tell my clients what my steer graded.
Long story short I was told that my meat was graded @ select...I immediately told them that this was NOT my steer and that my animal's grade at a minimum of choice #2...I already knew this and was wanted to see if this new place was a respectable or reliable facility?? I was told this carcass weight was a little over 500 lbs. and the calculated weight was 880 lbs.?! Got yah! I also asked to hang this carcass for as long as I could and would pay extra but was told only for 14 days... well on the 14 day I received a text saying that my steer graded @ select and I immediately told them to make hamburger out of all of it then. They proceeded to tell me it was too late that the meat was already frozen???? this was the day it was supposed to taken out of the cooler to process?? When I went to pick it up, they confused me with another person with my last name and a bill of over $1700...I immediately said I ONLY had one steer?? The receptionist then went to the office and took forever to find my receipt. It took so long I told myself to walk outside and see what these people were processing...well I was shocked to see a Hereford cross cow which looked to be about 10-12 years old and probably couldn't conceive anymore?! I thought to myself this is what I got?? All I have to say is that this establishment will NO longer get my business and I will tell everyone I know and what took place! I've been in the steer business for over 30 years and know how to raise good healthy cattle. Shame on YOU!!!
