The food at this joint is truly something else! I had the mom's Mac and cheese, while my husband dug into the Texas Squealer burger with corn - both were mouthwateringly good. The staff are friendly, and the owner is hands-on, making the whole experience even better. A great spot for a date night or any special occasion.

Got to Purple Goat at 10:58 the day after Christmas. I have been there many times in the past few years. Was seated by the hostess in a few minutes, sat at a table and 15 minutes later watched the people who arrived after me get served and drinks brought. Went to the hostess and asked if there was a waitress available. In another 10 minutes a waitress with a very nasty attitude came over. We asked her a question about the menu and she very quickly said, " I'll just go get the manager"......... My 12 year old changed her order question because we didn't want to wait anymore and then the waitress said " I don't know how to ring that up, I just go get the manager"............ So my daughter who literally just wanted chicken tenders and a bun added so she could make her own chicken sandwich, changed her order again. Chicken tenders and I ordered a salad. Watched the people who came in after us get their food served and half way eaten. Still now food............... So my daughter finally said to me at 1125; Can we just leave......... I'm hungry and we've been here forever. So we walked over to the bar area and I asked the waitress with the ugly attitude if we could just pay for our drinks and leave because we have been here for over an hour waiting. And she said " sure............ with a smile and range up our 2 drinks for over $7.50 and said " Have a good day"................ Wow! Never been treated so horrible!!!!!!!!! The owner was actually there, who has always been very nice and attentive....... But not this day. And the manager was no better. After eyeballing my daughter and I when asked for a waitress, she never not one time came over to the table and addressed us. She simply didn't care, didn't care that the waitress was full of ugly attitude. ..................... Didn't care that we sat there forever in a day waiting on simple food and never got it.............. never cared when we walked out the door. I live around the area and will NEVER go back and will NEVER have anything but this review to tell anyone and everyone who ever mentions the Purple Goat. Disappointed to say the least.

Cute place. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and the portions gigantic! What I ordered could have served 3. My only complaint was that I couldn't give into the temptation of the awesome bar since I was in the middle of a work day. I would love to come back with a group of friends.
