After exploring the Stephen Austin Statue and the city museum, I found myself craving authentic Mexican cuisine and followed Google's suggestion to Jimador, arriving around 2 pm to a quiet restaurant with a warm, genuine Mexican atmosphere. The pollo was bursting with flavor, the service was attentive and friendly, and with options ranging from vegan-friendly dishes to hearty barbacoa breakfast plates, every bite reminded me why Mexican food here feels so authentic and satisfying.

I explored the Stephen Austin Statue and the city museum before seeking out a Mexican restaurant. Google led me to Jimador, where I arrived around 2pm to find the restaurant empty and easy to order from. I enjoyed a delicious pollo-chicken dish, savoring my first taste of Mexican food in six months. The authentic Mexican atmosphere and friendly service at Jimador made me feel right at home, with a mural of Selena adding to the Tex-Mex charm of the place.
