On today's date November 02, 2013 I made effort to treat my family to a night out and dinner at Don's Catfish Dock in Powderly, TX.

Now keep in mind that we have been to Don's several times and have always been treated well and enjoyed our dinner. Well, after eating at Don's Catfish Dock tonight, I'm here to tell you we'll never, never, never go there or spend a dime of our money there again.

Our order was as follows ..

1 Senior buffet $14.00 - With a steak added for an additional $3.99
1 Adult buffet $14.50 - With a steak added for an additional $3.99
2 Adult buffets $14.50 each for a total of $29.00 - No Steaks

Our total dinner price PAID was $69.90 CASH!

My wife, my two children and I visited the buffet only one time each and we were done with the buffet !!

The steaks were of good size and my son and I was unable to eat all of our steaks that DID NOT come off of the buffet.

When we ask if we could have two to go containers for our steaks we were told that we couldn't have them and we would have to let the staff throw our steaks in the garbage and that we couldn't take them home with us. I told them that the steaks DID NOT come off of the buffet and that I paid extra for them and still they said we couldn't take them and that we would have to let them throw them (the steaks) in the garbage.

Keeping in mind that I'm a pretty mellow person and do my best to be kind to folks I must admit that I was starting to get pissed at this so stupid situation at Don's Catfish Dock and went to talk with the Lady at the register.

She informed me of the same stupid rule and I told her that I paid extra for the steaks and that they were not on the buffet and also that the buffet was a seafood buffet without steaks on it but still, she said it was a Don's Catfish Dock rule that I couldn't takeout what I paid extra for. Finally, she said this . . "I'll do it this time but only this time, I told her that would be fine. Then she said that she would have to take our steaks to the kitchen and that we couldn't put them in the containers at our table. I know she was saying this because she was thinking we were going to put buffet food in the containers. Our table didn't have extra buffet food on it, we cleaned our plates and didn't waste any food at all and like I have already said, we only went to the buffet for food the one time when we first walked in and paid them $70.00.

When she returned with our steaks in the two containers I questioned what she had told me earlier and it was like this, "Now you say that you'll only provide us with these containers this one time, right? and she said "right". I then said, you are so right about that because we'll never step foot back in here ever again. She acted like that wouldn't bother them and I assured her that I'll do my best to let ALL MY FRIENDS know how Don's Catfish Dock treated their customers (us) and she stated, "That'll be fine with us" so here it is. I'll do my best to cost them (Don's Catfish Dock) as many customers that I possibly can for as long as I feel I need to. Personally, I feel they are against help Americans and here's why I think that. Today's times are tough, there's a lot of Americans having hard times, money's tight and with that said, why would Don's Catfish Dock be denying American's from taking home food they have paid extra for, not the buffet food but the food that was paid extra for. Very UN _ AMERICAN of Don's Catfish Dock management.
