First visit was tolerable, it was right after Thanksgiving and we figured the food was not great because of the holiday. Tried it again and NO WAY will I be back. Salad dressing was so thin and watery; the salad had lots of water too. The croutons were soft and cold. The dinner rolls were hard and cold, the butter wouldn’t even melt on the rolls. We had a baked potato that was cold on the inside, sour cream and butter would not melt. We had cold in the center chicken fried steaks, two New York strips steaks that were cooked right but the steaks tasted old and were tough. The service was not great and we’re told the server was new. It’s sad the owner of the restaurant bragged about that being the best place in Alice with 1.2 million dollar renovations and I told her what good is a nice looking restaurant if the food is bad. She actually told I needed to lower my expectations for steak here in Alice. No thanks, I’ll take my money and my expectations to Corpus!
