We have been regulars at Los Comales for years and really it has been consistant with quality of food and service. Has been a go to for our families. Tonight we went there with a group of 9 and unfortunately for us we sat in the Agave room. Ordered about 630 and got out of there about 9. Food was average but the service was absolutely horrible. I dont even think they cared very much. Honestly it was the worst service we have ever gotten in Rockport. Booooo

How when you are sitting right in the restaurant, place your order, get your food, and it’s cold??? Oh, I guess when it takes 30-45 minutes to get it, that’s how. Spent $50 for 2 adults and 1 kid. 2 teas is all we had to drink- no alcohol..this place has really changed from years past. Not going back

There Margrettas are the best in town! Food is good and plentiful for the price.

Picked up to go order at 5:20 pm on Sunday-just in that short time found the smoke from bar too noxious. Got a margarita to go-straw was not in a wrapper -so probably 2 people at least handled it.
Food always good but I could never eat in if the smoke is allowed as it is.

It isn't fair to rate Los Comales unless you have been there to eat since the owners came back and took over again.I find the enchiladas full of flavor, the homemade guacamole very good, if I get it without jalapeno, and most of my meals have been above average. True, it DOES matter who is cooking, but that is true of all restaurants. I have never had a mixed up to go order, but I do always have them repeat it back to me. The restaurant is noisy, and probably hard for the phone order person to hear. .

My husband went there to order fajitas, two orders one beef and one chicken, with two sides of guacamales and shredded cheese. After a long wait he brought home two orders of chicken fajitas , with queso cheese. To be fair I did get the two orders of guacamale. I haven't been there in awhile and I won't go back.

The restaurant was too smokey. The hostess said it was the bar and said she would sit us as far away as possible. The waitress came and we asked if the window could be closed. She went and asked the bartender and he dropped it two inches. We left. You cannot eat dinner with all that smoke, it was very unpleasant.
