05/04/2011 - Never go here.
By far the worst experience I've ever had a pizza buffet.
My husband and I were excited to splurge and eat out. I should have known from the moment we walked in there would be problems.
We made eye contact with 4 people and got not a single greeting or acknowledgement. It wasn't until Brandon, the shift lead, decided (after his conversation) to talk to us. He asked what he could do for us (in a particularly unenthusiastic way) and when we stated we were interested in the buffet, he merely and bleakly told us to sit anywhere and the server would be with us.
We sat down and the waitress asked us for our drinks and gave them to us. Nothing else was said by any other member there. We had no idea that almost immediately the buffet would be closed.
Looking at the buffet options, we were quite disappointed. The pasta was dry (if there was anything there) and the pizza looked as if it had been there since lunch. We assumed that they must have just had a dinner rush and that they were in the process of restocking the buffet line. After getting exactly 4 pieces of pizza each and a small plate of salad we started to notice that of the 8 employees there only 1 was actually doing any work. Not 5 minutes later the waitress came to us and informed us that they would be taking down the buffet and if we wanted anything that we needed to get it now.
Imagine our shock. We were not informed that the buffet was almost done and that we would end up only eating stale pizza that tasted exactly like frozen pizza that had been made in a conventional oven.
With nothing left to eat we sat at our table for an additional 10 minutes waiting for our waitress to finish clearing the buffet (assuming she would then give us our check) she still failed to bring us the check. It was at this time we saw two employees come with to-go boxes and take whatever leftovers they wanted before our waitress, Katie, threw the rest of the food away. We went to the register to see what the proper procedure for check out was. Only then did she come to us and bring us a check. We expressed our concern and severe disappointment to Brandon and he showed no care. He offered to compensate by not charging for the drinks to which I stated we absolutely owed for the drinks, but that we should not have paid for the buffet as it was old food and had we waited a mere 15 minutes it would have been free (or maybe that only works for employees) had we not eaten the total of 6 pieces of pizza it would have been thrown away and no difference would have been made.
He expressed no concern. He merely kept repeating that since we ate at all we must pay. He didn't seem to remotely care (along with the rest of the employees) and didn't care or even know the effects of a company from one upset customer.
I will be sharing with all the extreme lack of customer service at this location and will express that all Pizza Inn locations should be ignored and passed over. Other national chains care much more about their customers and make much greater efforts to care for them.
