This cozy spot offers a comforting menu with dishes like Sheppard's Pie, meatloaf, and my favorite, the crispy Fish & Chips that never disappoint. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, with attentive staff who make each visit feel like a warm, familiar experience, whether dining inside or enjoying the spacious patio on a cool summer evening. One of the standout treats is the deep-fried Mars bar dessert, perfectly paired with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, making every meal here a satisfying and memorable occasion.

I had a cozy lunch experience where I enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie, onion rings, and meatloaf, all served quickly by a friendly staff. The Fish & Chips was a standout for me, with perfectly crunchy fish and fries, and the laid-back atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. Despite a minor issue with extra gravy being charged, the service was attentive, and I appreciate the authenticity of the British cuisine-they even have a delicious deep-fried Mars bar for dessert!

At the beginning of Covid in March we wanted to support our local businesses and really enjoyed The George......... but the last couple of times we have ordered the quality of preparation/ presentation just has not been the same.
