The exterior of the establishment may not catch your eye at first glance, but stepping inside reveals a spacious, inviting atmosphere that exudes a sense of warmth and comfort. The food offerings are satisfying, and the attentive service only adds to the overall experience. It's a place where I find myself recommending to others who are seeking a cozy spot for drinks or a casual meal, especially when looking for a familiar, welcoming setting.

The owner previously seemed like a likable, reasonable person until a few months ago, as he become rather arrogant.
I have been a regular customer of this eatery for ten years, having spent many thousands of dollars here, probably enough to send one of his grandchildren to university.
Leaving behind that much money in his register should entail some perspective and appreciation.
His washrooms are downstairs, raising the very real possibility that low water pressure could compromise the flow of his water down there.
I generally ate large meals there. A long while back, I noticed the absence of a plunger in his men's room and brought it to his attention, which he duly provided.
On a handful of occasions, at the sight of a blockage, I have repeatedly resolved the situation myself successfully. There was no problem brought to my attention. Then, one night, he approaches my table and begins chastising me that I won't be allowed in his restaurant anymore if "the problem" with my problematic washroom visits continues. Essentially accusing me of plugging his toilet through carelessness or apathy. How the f____ can it be my fault if his toilet system cannot handle my deposits.
Apparently, this last time (the first he brought to my attention) involved my trying to plunge the problem away, but it seems the blockage returned, creating a mess he was angry about.
Not liking his attitude for blaming me for something I have little control over, I provided the gift of mine and my money's absence for three months to remind him that actions have consequences.
On a whim, I returned to Amigo's recently, hoping he had either 1) fixed his toilet pressure to service the needs of all customers, and/or 2) realize copping an attitude without any prior communication with me about an ongoing problem was rather s______y on his part.
He walks to my table, and arrogantly reminds me there have been no washroom problems since my last visit....hint....hint.
This owner doesn't realize 1) maintaining toilets is part and parcel of the functioning of their business, his responsibility whether he likes it or not.
2) such blockages only happening with my use doesn't "prove" I am doing something wrong.
3) that different people eat different size meals naturally leaving greater deposits behind, a greater risk for blockages.
It seems three months without my patronage wasn't enough to make him reflect that he had no right to accuse me of being at fault for the problem the first time. Taking responsibility for the functioning of his pipes hasn't occurred to him, as he would rather blame/shame a customer for the crime of doing their business like any other person.
The last time I will ever spend a nickel in Amigo's again.

There's nothing "Mexican" about Amigos; the main sauce is sweet & sour or teriyaki. The main items are traditional pub fare. Salads are decent, the burgers are from a frozen supplier (not homemade), but o.k. and priced well. Pastas are iffy, depends on who is in the kitchen. The wings are good, especially if you ask for them baked after they're coated. Look for the specials (2-for-1 wings, 1/2 price pasta and burgers).

This bar is awesome except for one of the bartenders. I think her name is Lisa. What a horrible server and she may be an even worse person. I've seen her ignore customers to chat and text for at least 15 minutes. She also likes to tell and treat her colleagues like inferiors. What a power trip. I reccomend the restaurant, just not when she's there.
