Returning to Congee Wong after a long hiatus was like reuniting with an old friend, offering familiar and reliable mainstream Canto dishes without the expectation of bold flavors or spiciness. The Empress Rice, braised taofu with vegetables, and lobak-go may not have been perfect, but they still presented a consistent and satisfying dining experience, showcasing the essence of traditional Hong Kong-style cuisine.
