Hello,
I usually enjoy coming to this location, drinks are good and the staff are usually friendly. But tonight December 24 Christmas Eve, was the WORST customer experience I had ever experienced in my life at any cafí©/restaurant.
I arrive inside the teashop at 11:47pm. I actually just came in like literally 1 min after another group that I had saw heading in before me. I started to line up, looking at the menu to see what to drink. Keep in mind, this is just my wife and I. Two people.
At 11:48, a server advises me their last call was 11:45pm. I explained it was literally 1-2 minutes after their "last call", and there is no sign at their window about this last call and the doors are not locked. But they say that is just their policy and would not serve us. By "us", this was just my wife and I. Literally just two drinks. And the time was not even 12am, AND there was a bunch of people sitting down and a few tables having their drinks.
Okay, at the end, my wife and I just chose not to argue with them anymore and left.
At about 11:55pm, I walk back in just wanting to ask for the manager's name and contact. She denies my request and gave me this attitude "okay...what do you want, we'll make it for you". I said I don't want it anymore, and just wanted her name, to a surprise, she refused. She advises she does not have to give me her name. She then started yelling at me and saying I only want to request her name so I can file a complaint and get her fired.
I explain that is not the case, I advise I just want to share my experience with the customers out there. I advised their shop had no sign of this "last call" outside the teashop/cafí© window. Their google hours shows 12am closing time. I just want to know why I was denied simply two drinks and just wanted to share my opinion. Isn't everyone entitled to their opinion?? Also this gives others maybe a heads up to never go to an Alley at 11:45pm.
Okay, after 5-7 mins of this female manager rambling on and saying this was their policy and yelling at me with an extremely rude attitude I was STILL not able to obtain her name. At this point I'm not even after the drinks, I "JUST" wanted her name.
Again, I keep asking why I cannot get her name, she says she does not have to give it to me. This is the female manager on duty on December 24th 11:47pm.
Okay, after another 8 mins of her "screaming and yelling like a madman" (literally, I honestly hope there is a camera at the store that can show her face and emotion when she was talking to me".
Then after she stopped yelling and walking off to the side, another female employee pulled me over and explained her manager was under a lot of stress today and this and that. My wife had just lost her father in a car accident last Saturday and we had just finished some funeral business that night. I advised first that is not even a valid excuse to go rampage on a customer, and second, I believe our emotions at that time was definitely worse. I explained I am the customer and I definitely do not deserve to be treated like this EVER. Again, I try to ask the employee for her manager's name, and same result, no name given.
The on-duty female manager then rushes up to me behind the counter and starts swearing and saying "son of a b-tch" and "get the f-ck out" of her cafí© because I was disrupting her business. Are you kidding me?? WOW.
Absolutely ridiculous. I cannot believe this manager can actually supervise there. This is how you treat your customers? With no respect? And this is how you mentor your staff? Good luck in the workforce out there.
I really hope there was a camera inside the store that can honestly show this manager's rudeness and actions.
This person does not deserve to work at ANY service occupation with this kind of attitude towards a consumer.
I might still go back to this location, but to be honest, if I see her again I most likely will choose to walk away, or hm.... should I wait until 11:45pm and see how I get treated again?
For two drinks to yell and scream at a consumer? What a joke.
Please attend this location and review the camera footage if there is one. The manager on duty was honestly screaming at me like an insane person. Does not deserve to work here and serve future customers.
