My experience here was so poor I don't even know where to begin. If you don't wish to read the full review (but I hope you do, and you get your popcorn ready, as it is truly a thriller) the summary is as follows: We were not seated until over an hour after our reservation time, most of the menu cocktails and food could NOT be made as they were missing key ingredients (like prosecco, rice, cheese), after finally being seated we were asked by management to leave, and then finally, threatened, yes you heard me correctly, threatened, in multiple ways by the owner. I hope that sharing this story spares anyone else thinking of eating here the trauma we endured.

Lets get into it shall we? Our party (of 8) booked a reservation for 8:30pm and showed up on time and in great spirits. The table wasn't ready, but we sat at the bar and ordered drinks. Half the drinks could not be made because of missing ingredients like prosecco (why have a French 75 or Aperol Spritz on the menu if you can't stock prosecco?). In fact, I brought a bottle of prosecco into the restaurant as a gift for one of the party members, and so I can say with certainty the shelves of the LCBO were filled just minutes beforehand and there was certainly no supply chain issues. Drinks were delivered to the waiting patrons painfully slow, but the staff and lone bartender were actually very kind considering the circumstances they were most certainly working under.

After finally being seated, we placed our food order. I encourage you to take a look at the menu for this establishment. Its relatively small and 4/11 main dishes use rice. We couldn't order any of the rice dishes because there was no more rice. NO RICE? HOW???? Again, after thorough investigation I can assure you there was no supply chain issues on rice. Or goat cheese, which we were also told we couldn't get... Finally, we all settled on ordering essentially whatever was available. Our party was mostly in good spirits but hungry, now a bit tipsy on an empty stomach, and still waiting for our food over an hour later. Because of this, one of the party members wrote a poor review (which is her right as a user of the internet, whole human, and customer). At this point, the manager/owner came over to our table and said that because a poor review was written by our party we had to leave. After a bit of back and forth the person who wrote the review felt badly for voicing her fair opinion on the free web, and worried about disappointing the the rest of the party and told the owner she would take it down if they let the rest of the party get their food. Because the owner actually yelled at our table in front of other customers, he said we could stay now that the review was taken down and the food would be free (of the limited food we could actually get). So, being that it was past 10pm, we were hungry, and we were there to celebrate a birthday, we decided to stay.

After the meal the manager came back to the table and asked us how it was. He then proceeded to say that he had everything on film (everything being what exactly? 8 people calmy sitting and eating/drinking at a table while you yelled at them?) and if we posted a bad review again he would "send it to google". He said he "knew the owner of BlogTO and would send the video of us in the restaurant (again doing nothing out of the ordinary) to BlogTO as well" and "he is 41 years old and in his 20+ years in this industry he has never had customers as terrible as us", which I find hard to believe. I wish I could recall everything that was said but my mind malfunctioned as it was wild to be a customer being yelled at by a manager for being providing poor service.

Staff apologized many times, told us he has "outbursts like this" sometimes, and explained they have all quit at points. The staff were very nice and the food was just ok.
