This was our second visit to Hungry Jacks and I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Platter again and it was just as good as first time. My sister and her husband were in from Ottawa and they enjoyed the ambience and food as well. Our server was amazing and very friendly. Value also very good. Will certainly go back again

I appreciate the attention to detail when it comes to presentation. Every plate that came out looked like a work of art, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. If you are like me you might take a glance at Hungry Jacks large and diverse menu options and think, they can't be doing all of this well? Well think again! Every dish I've tried off their menu has been an absolute delight. The prices are so reasonable, a hard find today, and each dish is obviously made with love and care. Whether its a late night visit to their patio or picking up one of their awesome lunch specials do not miss this st clair staple!

Just stopped as we drove by and felt like Italian food. It was amazing, and reasonably priced. We were surprised to see so many other types of cuisine on the menu in such a small restaurant.

Loveeeeeeeeeee this place. Cam was a sweetheart and made the yummiest mojito and piña colada. Great little spot for a date night or to watch a game with friends. Jalapeño poppers were 10/10.

Recently visited Hungry Jack's with my wife, and family friend. Great atmosphere, and service was attentive. All of our questions about menu items were answered. We ordered Surf&Turf, and Salmon for entrees. All were beautifully presented, and taste was amazing. Generous portions, and reasonably priced. In house made Tiramisu was fantastic. We had a chance to speak to Cam, the owner. Super nice person. We will definitely return.

Pleasantly surprised by the Italian food here. I had the spaghetti and a drink. The spaghetti reminded me of the one my nana used to make for me. Really friendly staff as well! I will be back to try the others as well.

Hungry Jack's is an excellent local establishment that I think deserves a lot more love and attention.
Although there are many amazing and quality restaurants in the area, there are surprisingly few local casual places where you can just sit down and relax, either alone with friends, and have a nice drink and a bite to eat and not have it break the bank or feel overly formal.
The place itself is cute and well-decorated, and has a terrific patio that is often quiet at lunchtime, but I've seen it getting busier and busier at nighttime; likely because word of mouth is spreading in the community that Hungry Jack's is a great local hangout and eatery.
Although nothing really stands out about the drinks, all of what you would expect to see is available, and competitively priced. If you just want to come by for a drink, I think you'll find Hungry Jack's provides a great atmosphere for that. While not as cheap as, say, Wise Guys or Triple Tree, at the very least they do not charge the exorbitant prices that other establishments in the neighbourhood charge for drinks. When times are tough an the economy is not great, it's just not feasible for people except the super-rich to pay $12.00 for a single beer or glass of wine.
The real highlight in my opinion is the food. Hungry Jack's offers no-nonsense, hearty, delicious dishes. And the prices are so reasonable, you can come for lunch or dinner regularly and, again, not break the bank.
I highly recommend: chicken souvlaki, the pita wraps and the chicken parmesan sandwich.
I have not yet tried any of their pasta dishes, but I have seen other people order them, and they all look delicious.
The owners and servers are extremely hospitable and friendly. They make you feel at home, and like you're a part of their family.
As I'm sure you can tell by now, I really like this establishment. If you've walked by but haven't been sure whether to try it, my suggestion would be a resounding "Yes."

Randomly decided to check out this restaurant and I was not disappointed! The food was outstanding. Exactly what I was looking for after a long stressful day/weekend. Compliments to the chef and staff - they were very friendly and made you feel loved and cared for. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

I tried the food. Doesn't have that Italian zest. I'm Italian and I do not find it authentic.
Sorry....needs to improve. The name alone, Hungry Jack's is definitely not Italian.

This is by far the worst restaurant. I'm Italian and this is not Italian. I went to the festival on St. Clair on Sunday and order a burrito. I found a small wooden stick while I was eating. I asked for the manager or owner but he would not come over so I took a picture. He than came over and abruptly grabbed my phone. Yelled at me. Told me to get lost. No refund. No sorry, no anything plus I do consider this assault. Grabbing my phone! He has not been in business for 25 years because I'm Italian and know the area. He doesn't make Italian food. He goes along with whatever. He is rude, crude and uncivil. If you see the reviews, I'm not the first one to find unhygienic stuff in their food. Scroll down on reviews and see.

This is not authentic Italian food because I'm born and raised in Italy and there is nothing authentic about it. From kebobs to Mexican burrito to pub food. If your looking for foreign objects in your food this is the place. Owner wouldn't address it. When I took a picture, he grabbed my phone. Rather than denying addressing the problem he made the mistake of grabbing my cellphone out if my hand. I know the area well because my Aunt still lives there. She knows alot of people who went there and found foreign objects in it.
