Not sure what happened, but after being recommended to go there coming from Toronto, we spent $79..00 still can't figure out the math ??? I have no idea what they charged us for?? It was like they did it on purpose!!

We got 4 arancini's at $7= $28 then 2 stuffed foccacia's(soggy and so small) for $11 = $22
2 dessert sfogliatti maybe they were $5.00?? =$10 Then we got one date filled dessert okay maybe $4?? and one side zucchini fritter .I have no idea how much and felt bad asking.

But then when we asked for an espresso the owner rudely told his staff that she should have charged us $2.75 and not $2.50 ?? so how much was the zucchini fritter $15.00??? it was literally so thin a slice that was so small, I thought was a side order?? A large panzerotti is $14.00 and it is 5 times the size??

Ok let's do the math $28+$22+$10+$4+$2.50=$66.50 that means the tiny fritter was $12.50 WOW what a rip off!! not to mention the rudeness. I thought of calling and asking what happened but read some reviews and the owner would likely yell and tell me off so I decided to write this review instead. And of course they never gave me the receipt .... ?? so I cannot really know.:(((

I can go to the Cataldi grocery store and get 100 times better arancini at half the price Way better focaccia at half the price with HUGE desserts for less, and their "Amazing Hot Table" for portions of $9.99 . Never questioning the prices we get Smiles from the the staff and owners and sometimes offering us FREE espresso just for coming to shop there. Honestly paying is not an issue if it is fair, but the prices are ridiculous for what you get and how the service is offered. But for some reason I feel as the owner would NOT care if you read the reviews He was mad that we were charged 25cents less?? Like really ??
SO:(( SAD and that's why I will never go back. Buyer Beware!

I would give 0 if I could. Went to the bakery for some bread and their hot table today. I asked for two pieces of grilled chicken and was given a half of a piece along with whatever the lady serving could find at the bottom of the pan and for $12.00. Needless to say I chose not to purchase the bits and pieces. I simply said that’s ok I don’t want that not because of the cost but because I wasn’t even getting two pieces of chicken. I decided to go to the cold table and purchase two sandwiches in focaccia. One spinach and one sausage. When I got home I took the sandwiches out of the wax paper they were soggy, they were not edible even after heating. My daughter called to speak to the owner who yelled at her the entire time and told her I was rude when in fact I simply told the woman that’s ok and that I didn’t want the chicken, last $30 this bakery will see from me. GO TO ST PHILIPS BAKERY ON HWY 27 IF YOU WANT QUALITY.
