I was very excited finding this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, the service excellent but I do have some problems with the food. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits which comes with a side of greens. The grits, I noted, were a fried version, in a square served under the shrimp and sauce. Shrimp and sauce where very good, the grits patty not only did not have the consistency (which I expected) but also had no resemblance in taste to grits, it was a non-descript in taste fried square. I was very disappointed with the greens as well as the cook had added some sort of smoke flavoring that was overpowering and therefore could not be consumed by either me or my husband. We also had ordered the pan of corn bread which is served with a bacon butter with 'a little goes a long way' flavor so if we order this in the future I would request it be served on the side instead of on the top of the bread. My husband had the Gumbo and this also had a different taste to any we had experienced before but it was not bad.
