I can't believe that someone would complain about the Monte Cristo Sandwich. I order them made on marbled rye all the time. Ted's is one of the few places that loads the sandwich with meat and cheese. Not like many places that served you half a head of shredded lettuce on a bun. I'm glad they don't deep fry them. Who needs all that added grease?

They make a hell of a sandwich.

I dine at Ted's regularly. The food is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and creative as well. My choice for a reasonably priced sandwich, deli, soup selection.

I had lunch there today. Ordered a "Monte Cristo Sandwich"....Got a Triple decker ham and cheese w/ Turkey on white"...They forgot to cook the damn thing! A Monte Cristo Sandwich is not UNCOOKED...it is dipped in egg batter and either deep fried, or fried, then coated in Powdered sugar or Strawberry Jam....That menu item need to disappear, or the the cooks need to follow the classical recipe! I'll ask next time...This was a dissapointment! Perhaps the owners and cooks need to google a recipe for a classical sandwich instead of just winging it! Not good!
