The Green Onion is our fav. place! We have always had a great food and service. love to listen to the live music and have a glass of wine with dinner!

" TEARS OF JOY AT THE GREEN ONION!!!!!"

Good news should travel fast, that's why I couldn't wait to share the incredible experience we had at THE GREEN ONION! I'm a transplanted Tulsan (Mighty, Mighty class of '68-BTW) now living in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

In March '10, I faced angst and anxiety when I had thrust on me the awesome challenge of "spearheading" the search for a location for a surprise birthday party for my mom.

I wouldn't see the restaurant until a couple of days before the event! It had to be a Sunday brunch! It had to be a place that could accommodate
roughly 70 guests ( preferably a private room...complete with projection capabilities..as well as cd music "piped" into the room). I wanted to have a varied menu...and of course the price for all this had to be RIGHT!!!!!!

I communicated and negotiated with a half dozen " notable" restaurants and hotels, in and around Tulsa...and was about ready to give up...until I was blessed to come in contact with Shannon and THE GREEN ONION!

What had been a very discouraging experience filled with promises that weren't kept, and neglect...suddenly turned into more than I could have imagined.....or hoped to receive!!!!!

Shannon is a very busy young lady, yet she was always very cordial and about business in the followup process...and the promises she made....SHE KEPT! Imagine that?

Her Sunday brunch " spread" was incredible!!! Her "team" was an absolute JOY to work with ( never impatient and always willing to please...inspite of everything that was going on).

By the time the event was over, I felt like Shannon and her team were part of our family....and all of this just happened to be at their house, instead of Aunt Mary's!!!

You can pay more...but I bet you won't get more...and during the kind of economic times we're dealing with, that's news I couldn't wait to SHARE!!!!

Oh yeah...my mother has called 3 times ( in 24 hours) to say how much she enjoyed the experience! The tears yesterday were tears of joy, not because of a fiasco.....and everyone left FULL of food and memories that truly will last for years!!!!

We ate there last night ( 3/17) It took 90 minutes to get our food. My soup was cold so I returned it and the next bowl came back just as cold. For the price you pay for your food this should of never happened. We have eaten there before but it was never like this. We will not be back again. Two salads and 2 bowls of soup was $17.00 dollars. Just a little steep.
