Definitely not a place I will be returning to! Customer service is at an all time low!!! Three times in a row-- the customer service got worse each time I had to interact with them for my order. When I placed my order in the store, the person talking with me was rude, short, and distracted by other employees goofing off in the back of the store. When my son-in-law went to pick up the cake, they couldn’t find it, having a rude tone when speaking to him, claiming that he has the name wrong on who the order was under and insistent that they don’t have an order for him… Only to magically find it after 20 minutes of them looking in the back for it... Keep in mind, the cake was pre-paid for on the day that it was ordered in the store. A few hours later when we cut into the cake at my party, our nightmare with Dorothy Ann continued! I had ordered a strawberry chantilly cake, and when we cut into it at the party, we were very disappointed to find chocolate mousse instead of the strawberry filling we were all expecting and looking forward to eating. Many people in our party don’t like chocolate, which is why we specifically didn’t order something with chocolate, so most of our cake ended up going to waste. The few people who did eat the cake said that it was dry and the whipped frosting had an odd flavor. A few days after the party, I went into the store yet again to discuss my disappointment and give them a chance to explain themselves for the multiple negative experiences we have had. My concerns and complaints were brushed off by the staff, stating that “it is what it is”, and blaming COVID of all things. COVID can’t take the blame for this downfall!! And I think this goes without mentioning, no, I was not offered to get any money back, only a gift card to buy more crap from their store. I hope by taking the time to share my experience saves some other people from a headache in dealing with them for their special event-- SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND BRING YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!
