The pot roast lunch at this restaurant was delicious, the staff provided excellent service, the restaurant was clean, and I plan to return for breakfast soon as I have had their catering at work and frequently go there for breakfast; I have never experienced bad service, the food is consistently good, and the location close to the hospital district makes it convenient, with the catfish, mashed potatoes, and baked beans being enjoyable although I should have requested no gravy as I do not like fake gravy, but the Sinnamon Rolls were a highlight, and despite my pickiness, the chicken fried steak meal with mashed potatoes and double okra I always order tastes consistently great, leaving me satisfied every time, and even though I am from out of state and was looking for a quick meal near the hospital, I found the Grandy's experience to be positive after many years, with the chicken-fried steak, fried okra, and outstanding Mac n Cheese being highlights of the visit due to the cleanliness and quick service provided.

worst food i have eaten in my life.....rancid okra ...limp cold slaw...not tasty.....too much coating on cold catfish.....cheap canned corn...not seasoned....bottom line......simply terrrrrrriblel....threw.....most in trash never again in my lifetime

Went to grandma in Tyler Tx. They were out of chicken fried steak so I was disappointed with that, saw a lady come in to order but she left because that's what she came for.

Biscuits looked great but they were crumbly. Thee we rest was just okay. For the price it's not bad.

Today was the first time I have been in awhile. We ordered chicken fried steak. Boy were we disappointed. I real country chicken fried steak. I called back and the manager told me it was the same they always had. I very strongly disagree. I remember the real thing not compressed meat.
