After being unexpectedly kicked out of my own birthday party over a freak-out caused by a stuffed bird gift (which, FYI, is a terrible idea for someone terrified of birds), I ended up dining solo at Bai Bua Thai Cuisine in East Vancouver, and honestly, it saved my night. The staff were super kind and kept the good vibes going with generous bowls of red soup and tasty dishes that hit all the right notes. The food was flavorful, fresh, and comforting, from crispy spring rolls to rich curries and the classic mango sticky rice dessert-definitely planning to come back and try more.
