The spinach and cheese omelette, home fries, and thick slice sourdough toast were delicious, the service was friendly, and the ambiance welcoming at the diner my husband and I visited for breakfast in Bennington, VT.

A side of canned hash, two very undercooked eggs, and a cup of lousy weak coffee = $16 + tax (but the menu said a side of hash is $4.95). My friends were all overcharged too. Had to wait about 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Waited 30 minutes or so and had to seek out coffee refills. They weren't even that busy. No wonder. Who can afford it? This happens every time I go there. I spoke up about it and said I was done going there. It took me a very long time to say something about it because I was being polite and just sucking it up. But I knew I was getting ripped off. Their reply, "Good. We don't need you."
