I find it hard to believe anyone would rate this place as good or very good. Mediocre at best. Service is generally poor but sometimes horrible. Food is mediocre. Some of their menu items just don't make any sense. The hot gobbler for example; "tower" of turkey gravy over turkey resting on top of "stuffing" which is resting on a thick slice of toast which is placed on a bed of mashed potatoes. Kind of like glue on a plate. While these items are ok individually (and might be better side by side), the combination and plating is stupid. The comment above about the "family" nature of this place is absolutely true. As someone who lives 5 miles from Bristol, there are very few choices in town offering decent food, this one is always the last choice on our list. Go there rarely because of routinely bad service and only average food. This place would be first on my list of local restaurants desperately needing a visit from Gordon Ramsey and his Kitchen Nightmares team!

Stopped for lunch with four friends. The service was slow, we were waited on by a giggly teen who was more interested in flirting with other customers, but the food was terrific! Great wraps and sweet potato fries! Too stuuffed for dessert but the selections looked tasty!

I also disagree with the 3 star assessment. The only reason I don't make this one 5 is simply that it's virtually impossible for a "country diner" to get 5 stars. I've eaten numerous times over the past 6 years, never had a bad meal, but certainly had some excellent meals.

They even will alter most things to your liking, and used to have an excellent pepper burger, crushed black pepper and jalapenos. Last I knew, the clam chowder was awesome.

I totally disagree with the above posted comment!! Snap's is always a fun place to eat and especially at the counter, the food is always very tasty along with being homemade and creative A MUST TRY IS THE IRISH EGGS WITH THEIR HOMEMADE CORNED BEEF HASH!!

Snaps is a great place to eat. The food is good and some of the daily specials are great. I eat there every time I pass thru Bristol which is about every other week.

This place is run like a mafia hangout for the owner's family. At any given time, half of the customer's in this restaurant are members of the owner's extended family. If you make the mistake of sitting at the counter which is where the family tends to hang out, you get all kinds of ugly looks.

The food is all pre-cooked and brought in from well known national suppliers. The last time I ate there instead of the avocado that was supposed to be on my burger, they replaced it with brown, rancid Guacamole.
