08/11/2015 - Ron & Deb
We were on a hiking weekend there in Vermont, and happened to pass by The Whistle Stop Restaurant mid afternoon between hikes. We saw the Ice Cream sign and decided to stop for a cone. Once we got out of our car we realized they had an actual restaurant. Being rather hungry, we made the decision to order a late lunch. Ron had a burger and onion rings, I had a chicken bbq melt with fries...we were both blown away at how delicious our meals were..Ron said he had never had a better burger and the onion rings were the best he had ever eaten. I had to agree that this was the best food find of the weekend...my Chicken bbq melt was melt in your mouth delicious, and the fries were hot crispy and clearly out of a fresh vat. We ended our meal with their Maple soft serve cones...another win! We highly recommend The Whistle Stop, and may even plan our next hiking trip around the restaurant...yes...it was that good!
