This wonderful local community espresso bar and cafe is located at Fernwood Point Beach on the north coast of Salt Spring Island on Trincomali Channel. I visit often for coffee, breakfast and lunch when I am on Salt Spring, several times a year. My most recent visit was Christmas 2022. The baristas serve awesome flat whites and lattes from their new Italian La Marzocco DB5 espresso machine. They also now use highest quality Arabica espresso coffee beans from local Drumroaster Coffee Co. located in Cobble Hill across Stuart Channel on Vancouver Island. The café also serves tasty homemade scones, pastries, sandwiches, soups, croissants, bagels and yam fries, among others. The staff are always super friendly, professional and provide great service. It is therapeutic to take a stroll down the Fernwood dock, or a long walk on Fernwood Beach or North Beach Road to check out the views of the ocean and the wildlife. This might include kingfishers, osprey, bald eagles, ravens, otters, a variety of ducks and so forth.
