I ordered carry-out for lunch from Dickies Vienna. I wanted it to be good since it's close to where I work. It was not what I'd hoped for. I ordered a "meat plate"...sliced brisket, coleslaw, and beans. The brisket was chopped not sliced and was on the chewy side. If it was marinated and smoked it was done on a gas or electric unit, as opposed to wood fired...because there was no pink smoke ring and very little smoke flavor. You can make good BBQ in a gas or electric fired smoker, but this wasn't it. The sauce was nothing special. The beans were okay, but I didn't get the feeling that much effort went into their preparation...think Bush's. The coleslaw was actually quite good. There are better choices locally for BBQ... Famous Daves and Red Hot and Blue are both considerably better as chain BBQ restaurants go.
