The to-go options here might not win any awards, especially compared to the nearby Lebanese market, but their "pizza" oven cranks out some seriously delicious treats that are worth the trip. Don't miss the fresh akkawi manoushe and the heavenly ashta-filled shaabiyet; trust me, your taste buds will thank you later!

The refrigerated to-go offerings at Wooden Bakery could use some enhancement, particularly in terms of variety and quality compared to a nearby Lebanese/Middle Eastern market in Alexandria. However, their freshly baked items like the "pizza" oven creations and desserts are exceptional and stand out from the competition. While the selection may be limited, especially for vegans, I would suggest exploring other options for those specific dietary needs. Nevertheless, don't miss out on trying their delectable akkawi manoushe and zaatar flatbreads, as well as the heavenly ashta-filled shaabiyet and baklava - all of which are of exceptional quality and taste.
